Why do we communicate using emojis?

Emojis are digital images that are added to messages in electronic communication, and they are fast becoming their own language.

Dr Monica Riordan (Chatham University) joins me to discuss how emojis affect non-verbal communication.

We talk about how our culture shapes how we use emojis, how emojis relate to social change, and whether we should we use emojis at work.

So, if a picture is worth 1000 words... are emojis priceless?
